When you wake up on the morning of your wedding and you’re looking at what resembles a tropical storm outside, a lot of people probably couldn’t help but feel a little disheartened. It’s not what anyone imagines for their wedding day. But, there’s little we can do when it comes to what Mother Nature has in store! We are huge believers in the real heart and soul of a wedding coming not from the weather, but from the people getting married. Hayley and Rich gave us the kind of quiet confidence that everything was going to work out just perfectly. Their day was about them and their love. No matter where they were going to say their vows, that was what mattered the most. And, in a classic ‘Plan B absolutely nailing the brief’ situation, they flew to Queenstown’s most spectacular back up location, Earnslaw Burn. Nestled under a hanging glacier, surrounded by waterfalls and the occasional ice fall, it is beauty on steroids!
